New Acres
Renting by the river
New Acres is one of London’s largest build-to-rent development schemes, providing purpose-built rental homes for all ages, demographics and social groups.
Split across two former retail sites, the scheme provides 1, 034 new build-to-rent and affordable homes across eighteen buildings, making a significant contribution to the housing provision in Wandsworth.
A podium level connects to each building’s mezzanine and provides shared amenities, including a heated 25m outdoor lido. The project also features co-working spaces, a gym, and private dining rooms.
By creating a new station square for Wandsworth Town, we have improved access to one of the UK’s most important commuter routes into London Waterloo and provided connections that allow more direct, straightforward pedestrian access to the River Thames.
At street level, the development is animated by the addition of retail space, cut back from the building line to create pockets of space that make the public realm more generous while welcoming pedestrians inwards.
