Hallsville Quarter Phase 3
Connecting a community
Hallsville Quarter will create a new town centre for Canning Town.
A joint venture partnership between London Borough of Newham and Linkcity, the Hallsville Quarter site forms part of the overall Canning Town and Custom House SPD regeneration framework.
The site is located opposite Canning Town station, with access to the Elizabeth Line from the nearby Custom House station, and situated near some of East London’s key leisure, retail, commercial and travel destinations, including Canary Wharf, The O2, Stratford, The City and London City Airport.
Phase 3 builds upon the consented masterplan by adding 140,000sq ft of flexible retail/workspace and 620 new homes to the area.
The scheme forms four mixed-use courtyard blocks, a space which creates a green space for residents away from the activity of the high street.
Canning Town’s Barking Road High Street will be extended to create a new chain of public spaces, while Town Place will be a new civic space for Canning Town. Both spaces are supported by a retail strategy which will foster activity and promote a bustling daytime and evening economy.
