Hawkins\Brown commits to setting company-wide emission reductions
Hawkins\Brown has registered with the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) to verify our carbon emissions reduction plan and approve our near and long-term target commitment.
The SBTi is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050.
Our baseline 2021-2022 carbon footprint for Scopes 1, 2 and 3 measured 350TCO2e across all our studios. Our carbon emission report for 2021-2022, detailing our emissions by scope and by individual studio and submitted for validation can be viewed here
We have committed to reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% by 2030 and to reducing our total emissions to meet a 1.5deg trajectory by 2050 or sooner.
We’re excited to get started and have lots of ideas about implementing reductions across the business. These include a full review of energy provision across all our studios, to reduce and omit fossil fuel sources, and reviewing our purchasing policies to ensure we invest our money in low carbon choices.
