And a love letter to the Lizzie Line

In the wake of the Elizabeth Line winning the Stirling Prize, we’re recognising and celebrating the many people at Hawkins\Brown past and present who have helped London’s new ‘flawless, efficient and beautifully choreographed solution to inner-city transport’ to succeed.

We first started work on Crossrail in 1992. Taking this hugely complex infrastructure project from ambitious brief to superbly functioning reality has been a labour of love for hundreds of architects, engineers, craftsmen, and artists.

We designed and delivered three of the Elizabeth Line's ten new stations – Tottenham Court Road, Liverpool Street, and Bond Street – more than any other architecture practice. Each one is designed to reflect the character and heritage of its unique corner of London, while carefully balancing the fluid and elegant line-wide platform design.

So, here’s to everyone at Hawkins\Brown and beyond whose efforts have helped to improve the daily lives of Londoners and visitors for decades to come!
